Oct 08, 2022. I have an older version (7) of Acrobat & would like to install a recent version of Reader DC. The RDC install wants to remove the older version of Acrobat. I use the Acrobat 7 for its editing capability, that Reader DC does not have. In the second case, you would not get the "official" download file from Adobe (because that is just a (IMHO extremely crappy) install manager. Instead you would get the actual Reader installer from the enterprise page of the Adobe website. As you are on Mac, multiple versions can be installed in parallel, and even do run concurrently.

Hi Janice, No – only Acrobat 2017 desktop software is available as a one-off purchase, which is a significantly older version… It does not include all the newer features added in DC 2019 and DC 2018, or quarterly Acrobat feature enhancements, or access to premium Adobe Document Cloud services like Adobe Sign via your web browser and mobile devices. Of course I've looked there, and it doesn't answer my question. It only explains how to uninstall the current version, not older versions, Thus, why I have to ask here. Go to your application folder ,open the folder of the old version and double click on the uninstall file .
